Work Experience
TimelineBuild and maintain Java-based microservices and REST APIs with event-driven Lambdas integrating with AWS OpenSearch and S3.
- Developed and maintained Java-based microservices and REST APIs to support scalable, high-performance applications
- Developed AWS Lambda functions in Python for event-driven processing
- Interfaced with AWS Opensearch and S3 storage for data storage and retrieval
- Collaborated closely with UI development teams, delivering backend endpoints to support frontend features and user experience
- Monitored deployed application performance using AWS CloudWatch. Created triggers and alarms to maintain service health.
Deliver Java/Spring features, API endpoints, and Vue/Vite UI components, containerized with Docker and backed by SQL.
- Developed software features in Java that were part of a product backlog for merging and integration into the baseline. Worked in both Java Spring and Maven builds and deployed utilizing containerization via Docker
- Created and updated API endpoints as well as UI features using a Vue/Vite framework. Created and updated databases using SQL
- Participated in sprint planning, reviews, and backlog grooming
Owned RMF risk management and requirements traceability for ACWS PMO, driving decisions through boards and defect triage.
- Using the RMF, acted as the risk manager for ACWS PMO maintaining program level risk, issues and opportunities for input into leadership briefings. Held monthly risk working group meetings to get updated information from risk owners.
- Participated in an in depth requirements traceability effort for a milestone event. This involved reviewing test cases and their associated requirements to ensure that the test event would accurately reflect the requirements.
- Participated in ongoing design meetings to review BCR’s and associated requirements changes for feasibility and acceptability. Provided feedback to the systems engineering lead
- Provided technical input on behalf of the PMO for the Requirements, Technical Change, and Change Control boards. When the TMB lead was not available, participated as the PMO voting member
- Participated as the PMO Technical representative in defect triage meetings to review software defects for severity and complexity, and approved defect resolution plans. Reviewed defect resolution evidence to verify software fixes
Supported NAVSEA PEO IWS 2.0 SEWIP Block 3 IPT with systems engineering and change control.
- Provided systems engineering support to the NAVSEA PEO IWS 2.0 SEWIP Block 3 systems engineering IPT. This included attending regular systems engineering planning meetings, tracking action items, and reporting regular status on task progress.
- Participated and organized Technical Review Board (TRB) meetings as the coordinator to approve or reject Software Problem Reports (SPR’s) and associated requirements changes
- Contributed to the development of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) for presentation at the Change Control Board (CCB) for final rejection or approval
- Assisted in ensuring the successful delivery of the SEWIP BLK3 system by providing Systems Engineering Services as outlined in the Systems Engineering Plan. This included ensuring successful program milestones were achieved, and all entry and exit criteria were satisfied
Supported PEO-IWS 4.0 on AEGIS FMS to Australia with systems engineering and risk assessments.
- Provided engineering and baseline management support to the PEO-IWS 4.0 in support of AEGIS foreign military sales to Australia. This included meeting and presentation preparation, action item tracking, risk identification and mitigation
- Actively participated in the implementation and management of systems engineering processes including technical reviews in support of the Australian Hobart class upgrades and the Australian Future Frigate program
- Drafted whitepapers to provide a risk assessment and a reduction plan for integration in the AEGIS weapon system. This included integration of a foreign radar as well as integration of the Lockheed Martin MH-60R helicopter
Supported configuration audits and data delivery for the Canadian Maritime Helicopter Program.
